I know I can't type as fast as my mind is moving right now. I'm currently on my second of three "uppers" during my ground trial today. I can tell why this is a controlled substance. I need an outlet for the energy and the spaghetti lunch is finally settling down, so it's time to go for nice long run.
The ship did a RAS this morning and brought over several TONS of mail! It's slowly coming up in waves. I received a box from my parents and sister this morning. The folks hanging out in the ready room have enjoyed some of the candy that I shared (as have I of course!) Thank you!!
There's always a bit of an internal conflict when care packages arrive. Do I open it in the ready room or in the privacy of my own stateroom? Am I prepared to share with the world the knowledge of what's in the box? Usually not a problem. It's usually fun to see what comes in each other's boxes, and to share the contents. All I needed was a few Hot Tamales and Smarties to add a sugar high to my amphetamine rush. At least I've been smart enough to stay away from coffee today.

That was box one of two. Hopefully you will get # two in a few days. The other one should also be safe to open with others around. Enjoy. Amanda and I had fun shopping.
