Dear Janell,

I don't usually do this, but as I was writing to Janell tonight, part of what I wrote to her I wanted everyone to hear, because I think everyone will agree with me. I've told Janell this before, but I love to brag about her and all she does for our family. We've been talking a bit about Eli lately and how he is struggling and how Janell is struggling with him. That got me thinking about when Eli was young and just getting started in Flyball. Janell and Eli started learning Flyball when I was on my first deployment 8 years ago! So with that thought, here's what I wrote to Janell...

Katelynn sounds like she's doing a great job. I'm proud of the girls! They really are growing and learning fast. Consider your flyball experience now with 8 years ago during our first deployment. You and Eli were learning together. Now, you are teaching Katelynn and Emily (who wasn't even born!) and Abbey (who also wasn't even born) is a seasoned dog, runnable by a 9 year old novice!! What a difference! We are in such a different phase of life than we were 8 years ago. You are doing a great job managing our home and nurturing our girls in the midst of the changes we seem to constantly endure. I can tell you are growing in wisdom through your writings. :) Thanks for all your hard work and sacrifice, Janell. You endure much more than you should have to. I'm proud to be your husband.
