Encouragement and Reunions

After getting to bed around 4 last night (this morning?), and sleeping till 11ish, the day has pretty much flown by (no pun intended). Not much to write about today. I did get to fly again, a night flight tonight. But early enough that I made it to the Tuesday night Bible study at 2230. We wrapped up the second chapter of Phillipians tonight. There are a few folks in HS-8 who are interested in going to the Bible study, but for a variety of reasons they haven't made it yet. Tonight, one was on watch, one was buried with last minute paperwork (yes, at 1030 at night!), and one ("Evil") was going through a practice oral examination board for his HAC qualification (yes, Evil is a brother in the Lord. The irony of his callsign kills me). I need to continue to encourage them to try to make it. I've really enjoy the time on Tues nights. I'd love to share it with the guys I spend the most time with. It has been fun to catch up with guys I knew years ago in flight school through the OCF Bible study in Milton, FL. This cruise has been full of reunions for me, which has been an encouragement. Especially because all of the guys I've run into are friends from ministries I've been plugged into in the past. Coincidence? Doubtful.

Scott,
Great to hear about the reunions. One of the things that stands out about my term active duty was that God always provided the right people in my path at the right time, whether roommates, or others. That experience expanded my faith. One of my favorite Bible vs during that time was Rom 1:12: That you and I may be mutually encouraged by each others faith. God Bless and be safe.

So, I guess "Evil" is the officer who looks like a teddy bear.
