Alert 30

Not much to write about tonight. I'm on the Alert 30 crew tonight. Pretty easy. We briefed a while (almost 11 hours ago, now!). OK, I really am up too late! We held 3 PC boards tonight, and qualified 2 of the candidates. The other guy was on his second board, so he's going to need some extra training to get him up to speed.
Out of the first round in the tournament, I picked up 25 points (7 teams lost that I thought would win out of 32). Not a bad start for one with no prior knowledge of the teams. We'll see how it goes through the rest of the weekend. As I write this, Round 2 games are in progress across the country.
OK, I'm heading to bed.

Pretty uneventful day.

I had some excitement when we returned home tonight. I bought a pair of Belleville boots. They have Gortex and Thinsulate. Plus, I am only out about $20 after the GOVT reimburses me. Even straight out of the box, they are VERY comfortable.

There were a couple of good games today. Unfortunately, were not able to see them, but MD lost. We will see if my Wildcats can hold up tomorrow against Kansas. :(

Later,
Rich

So does your old aunt, although she's turning into something of a night owl in her latter years!
