Flying circles in the dark
It's past 2am already. Don't ask me why I'm writing this an not sleeping. I have a CDO lecture in less than 7 hours. I'm going to regret my poor decision making in the morning. I heard from Janell via cell-phone-to-text-to-email. She's on the road, heading toward West Point, NY, tonight. She's going to camp at USMA! I hope the girls brought their shovels. They'll need them to dig fox holes. They're going to tour the campus tomorrow and then it sounds like they'll head toward the City on Thursday. Then, probably northbound again, but I don't know the plan after that. She was hoping to get an itinerary out tonight, but I wouldn't expect it until tomorrow. She has a long day/night ahead of her.We received all new laptops today. That's good and not so good. But, seeing as how it's now 2:15 am, I'm going to save that diatribe for another time.I had a night flight tonight, only about 2 1/2 hours. I got a couple of pictures (yes, that's me, wearing eyeglasses and NVG's)...

As you can see, helicopters shake just a little.
And here was a picture taken around the ship recently. Pretty cool!

I love the ship photo! That's cool! It's neat to see the action in the photo!
We miss the girls already! It is toooo quiet here. I think even Tora misses Abby & Eli.

I really like the ship photo too! I'm already thinking about how to scrapbook it. :)

Great photos. Lol at the "older" naval aviator in his glasses and NVGs. We're not nuggets anymore, are we?
It's nice to fly though isn't it. It was a cold overcast day yesterday and as we broke through the clouds into sunny skies I smiled and told the co-pilot...."this is one reason I do what I do."
Enjoy the CDO Lecture. :)
