Toto...

I'm still here, sorta kicking. It's quarter to 3 in the morning. Based on the frequency that I'm tapping the Backspace key, I must be tired. I'm too wiped out to tell. I landed from a 3.2 hour flight just before 2am. It was my copilot's first night landing on the carrier and second night flight since he got to the squadron a couple weeks ago. We stayed pretty busy during the flight, showing him what the carrier visual landing aids looked like and practicing some approaches to landing, practicing search and rescues, and chasing Iranian boats around the carrier. As I wrote to Janell recently, we definitely not in Kansas any more.

Church starts in about 6 hours. I'm not sure I'm going to make it tomorrow. I can't afford to get that far behind in my sleep. I have some pretty good teaching sermons on my iPod so I might take advantage of one those later in the day tomorrow. Not the same, but sometines it's the best I can do.

Sleep sounds like a good thing. Is is any cooler flying at night?

Hang in there, Scott. We love you. I concur with Nana; get sleep when you can and we'll hear from you when you are rested (about September, perhaps?). Be safe. I'm praying for you.

Hang in there! I know you have a ways to go until the light at the end of the tunnel becomes visible, but it will come! We'll keep praying!

PS
Did Rich tell you about his running training?

Thinking of you today after reading J's blog. I know that there is a lot on your plate. Praying that you're finding your strength in Christ, as He will never fail. I pray you'd receive a tangible sign or form of encouragement today that lifts your spirit.
